Captures the age old traditional craft of making Earthen Pots by “Kumhars” or potters of Theekarda Village in Bundi District in the Indian state of Rajasthan.
This documentary not only reveals visually the process and journey of creation but also the stories of people and how the art of making matkas is intimately linked to various other aspects of daily life.
Most importantly, it shows how the women in the family increasingly play a crucial role in sustaining a livelihood from pottery making while balancing responsibilities towards family and society.
